Part exchange
Part exchange valuations, at eleven at night.
A part exchange valuation on your own website: a customer puts their registration in and gets a figure without ringing anybody. You get the registration, the mileage and their name and number to ring back.
What the customer sees
A registration box, shaped like a number plate. Where the valuation describes the car, its make, year, colour and fuel are shown with the figure.
Then the mileage, and a name and a telephone number, and a figure described as a guide, with the final number subject to seeing the car. The name and number are asked for before the figure because every figure costs you a lookup.
What you get
The registration, the mileage, the figure if one was shown, and their name and number, in your enquiries beside your test drives.
Every figure is one of the valuations you have bought, and each one is shown to you, so you can see what the tool costs against what it brings in rather than guessing.
Stay in control of what it spends
The button spends the valuations you buy in packs, and never more than 10, 20 or 30 a day by tier. Past that, or with none left, the customer is told you will ring with a figure, and the enquiry still lands.
Beyond that, one car gets one figure every 30 days, one telephone number one every 30 days, and one connection one a day. A second try is not lost: it is in your enquiries with a note saying why no figure was shown.
Questions
Does it commit me to a price?
No. What the customer sees is described as a guide based on the registration and the mileage they gave, with a final figure subject to seeing the car. That is how the trade works anyway.
Can people abuse it?
It never spends more than 10, 20 or 30 of your valuations a day by tier, and one car gets one figure every 30 days, one telephone number one every 30 days, and one connection one a day. Those limits are the same for every dealer rather than settings of your own.
