Run checks and valuations from your dashboard.
Vehicle history checks and valuations are not in the monthly. You buy them in packs from your back office and run them against a car from its registration, with no second account to sign in to. What every forecourt plan includes is the detailed vehicle lookup that fills a car in when you add it.
What each plan includes
Tier one, up to thirty cars: 60 detailed vehicle lookups a month, with the engine code and trim where available.
Tier two, up to seventy-five cars: 150 detailed vehicle lookups a month, with the engine code and trim where available.
Tier three, no limit on stock: 300 detailed vehicle lookups a month, with the engine code and trim where available.
What comes back
The provenance check: stolen, written off, outstanding finance, mileage discrepancies, plate changes. The valuation: what the trade guide says it is worth and what a car like it retails at, so the gap between the two is the room you have.
Type the registration once when you buy the car and the check, the valuation and the stock book entry all come off that one number.
Bought as you go
Checks and valuations come in packs, bought from inside your own back office: 5 vehicle history checks for £25, 10 vehicle history checks for £50, 100 valuations for £40. Each pack is one kind of lookup, paid by card, on your account the moment the payment clears, and packs do not expire.
With none left, that lookup stops and the back office says so. Nothing is added to a bill unless you buy a pack.
Your website’s part exchange button
Each figure the button on your website shows is one of your valuations. It never spends more than 10, 20 or 30 a day by tier, so a busy or unwelcome day cannot empty a pack.
Past that, or with none left, it takes the customer’s details and tells them you will ring with a figure, and the enquiry still lands.

Is this an HPI check?
It is what the trade usually calls one, but it is not HPI’s. HPI is a brand owned by Solera, and the history check here comes from Vehicle Data Global. It tells you whether the car is recorded as stolen or written off, and about outstanding finance, mileage discrepancies and plate changes.
